The second meeting of the Informal Philanthropy Forum

The Informal Philanthropy Forum participants urge for cooperation and partnership across sectors to build a sustainable philanthropic ecosystem in Kosovo.

The second meeting of the Informal Philanthropy Forum titled “Philanthropy in Kosovo – The Way Forward”, resulted in a fruitful discussion on the understanding and practices of philanthropy in Kosovo, intrinsic motivations for giving as well as the roles of the key actors in the domestic philanthropy ecosystem, namely the government, businesses, civil society and diaspora in creating an enabling environment for the advancement of philanthropy in the country.

As the Forum moves forward, specific topics will be discussed including the main legal barriers as well as opportunities for development of philanthropic ecosystem and, improving access to banking services through financial technology (fintech) for giving purposes.

The forum is part of the Citizen Engagement Activity, implemented by KCSF in partnership with USAID in Kosovo.
