The agreement for a new phase of Sweden Core Support to KCSF for the period 2024-2028 is signed

In a vibrant and dynamic society such as Kosovo where problems and solutions are interrelated within an increasingly complex net, it becomes essential for civil society to have the adequate human and financial resources, and above all, the necessary sustainability and flexibility to identify and work for the appropriate solutions.

KCSF is continuing its trend of institutional growth and positive impact in enabling civil society to become a legitimate voice of citizens in the democratic development of Kosovo. Sweden has been our main supporter since 2015, with long-term core support to KCSF. The trust-based flexible support was pivotal to empower KCSF to undertake crucial advocacy campaigns to protect and advance civic space, equip civil society with knowledge and capacities, advance its granting programs, and remain the leading hub for civil society in Kosovo and beyond.

On Wednesday, 22 of November, we signed the agreement for a new phase of Sweden Core Support to KCSF for the period 2024-2028, to continue enhancing the quality of our existing programs, while simultaneously expanding with new programs on resource diversification for civil society.

As Mr. Henrik Riby, Head of Sweden Development Cooperation in Kosovo stated: “The continuous support from Sweden will enable KCSF to develop its own organization to become more strategic, using research in a more profound way and to reach out to new stakeholders and partners – such as the diaspora and private sector”.
