𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 emphasized the key role of the Draft Law on Payment Services, in the advancement of the philanthropic ecosystem of Kosovo and the opportunities for diversification of financial resources of the civil society. The forum brought together participants from different sectors, including representatives from civil society organizations (CSOs), representatives of state institutions, financial institutions and the donor community, to discuss together on this draft law.
The discussion was preceded by the presentation of the legal analysis on the potential opportunities and shortcomings in the current draft law, after which the participants focused on its possible impacts, for the creation of a supportive and facilitating legal framework for the development of philanthropy in general. In particular, the possibility of collecting and donating donations online, as well as managing the platforms for collecting donations was discussed, this way aligning efforts with international standards and increasing participation in social development.
The Informal Philanthropy Forum, held within the framework of the Citizen Engagement Activity, aims to foster dialogue and cooperation among stakeholders to enable a supportive environment for philanthropy in Kosovo.
