Within the project “Empowering Civil Society Inclusion on Democratic Policy Making in Kosovo”, KCSF organizes an Experts Roundtable on Best Practices on Citizen Participation, on 12th of May 2011 (Thursday) starting at 10 o’clock, in Hotel AFA in Prishtina.
Following a long series of studies on the current state of this field in Kosovo and best practices in Europe, direct contribution in the legal-framework as well as capacity building for governmental and non-governmental sector, KCSF will present the “Code of Good Practice for Citizen’s Participation”, a Council of Europe document for all European countries which includes the main elements for fostering civil participation in democratic decision-making, in all levels.
The presentation will be followed by panel discussions from Assembly of Kosovo, Government and Ministry of Local Governance Administration, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations working in this field.
In addition, KCSF will launch the Call for Expression of Interest for legal assistance for all NGOs interested for direct involvement on drafting of public documents, in all levels of governance in Kosovo.
