European Integration School  organizes the open lecture “The Transformative Impact of EU Enlargement” with Phd. Bruno Maçães, Secretary of State for European Affais, Portugal. The lecture will be held on 9 July, 2014, 12:00 in KCSF Meeting room (Fazli Grajqevci 4/a).

The Portuguese State Secretary for European Affairs, Dr. Bruno Maçães, will discuss why the EU is more attractive than ever, its transformative impact and why its heyday is not over. Dr. Maçães will shed some light on why negative feelings heightened during and after the euro crisis, the impact of extremist parties, and what the EU needs to do to gain back popularity. He will also discuss the importance of fulfillment of the existing EU membership criteria and why the process has grown more rigorous.
