DSP – CALL FOR INSTITUTIONAL GRANT APPLICATION

Swiss Cooperation Office in Kosovo (SCO-K), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark (DANIDA) and Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) have the pleasure to inform you that application for institutional grants is launched. This will be the last call for institutional grants under the DSP project. Overall DSP goal is to support the development of a democratic society in Kosovo. DSP objective is the achievement of visible and sustainable changes that will in turn contribute to the development of a democratic society in Kosovo.

During 2014 – 2018, except for the support of projects that have an impact for the society, DSP  provides institutional support for organizations that systematically follow and promote these changes. So far, DSP has supported 18 organizations with institutional grants, which with their work and engagement are contributing to the democratic development of the country. From institutional grants, it is expected that by empowering organizations of civil society , the same ones to increase their demands from the authorities and take an active role in pursue of high quality services, good governance and minority integration.

Institutional grants enable civil society organizations to plot their own agendas and invest significant time in the areas of critical importance.  Financial support for institutional development is intended to sustain organizations that are, or have the potential of becoming, change agents in the field of citizen participation, good governance, transparency, inter-ethnic relations, and gender equality. Institutional grants also permit DSP partners to build thematic and organizational capacities internally. Institutional grants enable organizations to focus on their strategies and in parallel with strengthening internal organizational capacities become the voice of citizens in the thematic areas that they cover. Institutional grants enable organizations to address consistently identified issues and whenever they appear without the need to plan them properly as in the case of project grants. Organizations will be eligible to receive 12-14 months of funding.

Interested NGOs need to fill in the institutional grant application form together with all annexes. The deadline for the submission of completed applications in KCSF offices is 29 June 2017, at 16:00 hrs.
