Evidence based advocacy for increased transparency on disbursement of public funds through rigorous monitoring of the process, and the accompanying pressure will galvanize CSOs to get together to demand an improvement of the process. An open and transparent process of disbursement will contribute to debunking perceptions of government co-optation of CSOs that benefit from public funds and present them as a viable alternative resource. KCSF in cooperation with Kosovo Local Governments Institute (KLGI) will develop an easy-to-use monitoring methodology for public funding disbursed by municipalities. Based on this methodology and by engaging local CSOs and activists a monitoring process will be conducted in all Kosovo municipalities. Findings from the Monitoring Reports will be published each year and will be used as an advocacy tool to further improve the transparency and regularity of public funding for CSOs.
