Following the completion of the first two modules on internal governance and community mobilization, the fifth edition of the School of Activism continued with the topic \u201cImpact Assessment and Monitoring\u201d, highlighting the role of data collection, analysis, and use in assessing work, measuring impact, and improving the planning of organizations serving communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The work of NGOs takes on its full meaning when they are able to understand what has changed as a result of their interventions and how data can be used to improve their work in the future. Building on the themes of internal governance and community mobilization, this module placed at its centre the importance of measuring results as part of planning, organizational learning, and accountability to citizens and communities, as well as to partners and donors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the course of two days, the sessions were led by Mr. Jon Konjufca, focusing on the distinction between monitoring, evaluation, and impact, as well as on the key questions every organization should ask throughout its work: Is the project being implemented as planned? Is it reaching the target group? Is it producing the change it aims to achieve? How can we demonstrate this change through data?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An important part of the module was dedicated to the link between planning and impact measurement. Participants worked on defining the problem, developing the problem and objective trees, the logical framework, measurable indicators, and using the theory of change and data for decision-making, reporting, advocacy, and improving their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This module provided participants with the opportunity to reflect on the ways in which organizations can build more sustainable monitoring and evaluation systems, aligned with their strategic objectives and mission, making the link between their day-to-day work and the change they aim to bring to the community clearer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The School of Activism is organized within the framework of the Resource Centre for Civil Society in Kosovo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
