Gjatë viteve 2011 – 2014, e pastaj edhe 2014 – 2018, DSP I dhe DSP II kanë përkrahur projekte që ndikojnë në shoqëri, si dhe ka ofruar përkrahje institucionale për organizata të cilat i përcjellin sistematikisht dhe nxisin këto ndryshime. DSP ka pasur për synim të arrijë ndryshime pozitive në nivelin lokal dhe atë qendror.

Qëllimi i përgjithshëm i DSP – së ishte ta përkrahë zhvillimin e një shoqërie demokratike në Kosovë. Synimi afatgjatë i DSP-së ishte arritja e ndryshimeve të dukshme dhe të qëndrueshme, të cilat kontribuojnë në zhvillimin e shoqërisë demokratike në Kosovë. DSP ka kontribuar në dy objektiva/rezultate, si në vijim:

Project proposals shall at least address one of the priority intervention fields below:

Increased civic activity in influencing the priorities, planning and decision making of local and central government;

Increased civic activity in monitoring with the aim of requesting accountability for the shortcomings identified at the local and central government;

Projektet e përkrahura nga DSP kanë trajtuar të paktën njërën nga fushat e mëposhtme prioritare të intervenimit:

• Fair and transparent elections;
• Better social, economic, cultural integration between the majority and minority communities; ore;
• Improvement of gender equality in education, job positions and public life;
• Contribution of Kosovo media and civil society in decision-making and policy-drafting processes that will reflect and implement social and political rights of Diaspora.
