The current scattered knowledge on philanthropy culture and practice does not support informed policy decisions and targeting of potential supporters for specific campaigns. Through CEA, regular data will be made available on insights into Kosovo’s philanthropy, transparency of Kosovo’s CSOs and online fundraising/crowdfunding for CSOs and civic initiatives.
Powered by CEA partner, Catalyst Balkans, but locally led by KCSF, Giving Kosovo web platform will provide users with key information on who donates, to whom, how much, why, where and when donations happen. This corpus of data and information serves as a rich resource for a Kosovo CSO to explore and understand what domestic donors are funding, which cause and areas and to use as a starting point for fundraising. CEA will use various channels to further disseminate this information to engage and ever-widening community of stakeholders in discussions around best practices and inspirational stories of how everyday citizens, small and large companies, members of the Kosovo diaspora and the nonprofit sector work together to create social impact and build community resilience.
These data will be published also in the annual reports such as: State of Philanthropy and Giving Kosovo to non-profit sector.
