KCSF supported eight local civil society organizations with Institutional Grants through the EJA Kosovo program. Through this call, around 960,000 euros have been allocated in total for three-year grants, with a maximum amount of 40,000 euros per year.
The supported organizations are:
Kosovo Glocal (Kosovo 2.0)
Instituti QIKA
Qendra Kosovare për Talent dhe Arsim (TOKA)
Instituti GAP
Organizata për Rritjen e Cilësisë në Arsim (ORCA)
Center for Affirmative Social Actions (CASA)
Fondacioni Shtatëmbëdhjetë (17)
Fondacioni Lumbardhi.
The call for applications for Institutional Grants was announced in June 2024. By the deadline, 67 civil society organizations submitted applications.
After administrative checks to ensure compliance with eligibility criteria and submission requirements, 59 applications advanced to the evaluation phase.
The content evaluation was conducted by members of the Grant Evaluation Team and included the review of strategies and other documents of the applicant organizations, office visits by KCSF staff, and public interviews for shortlisted organizations. The Grants Evaluation Team recommended funding for the top eight ranked organizations, ensuring that at least 30% of the grantees are based outside Pristina, in line with the program’s geographical quota.
Institutional grants are designed to support the implementation of organizational strategies while simultaneously strengthening internal capacities. These grants enable organizations to represent citizen interests in their respective thematic areas, while at the same time be able for timely response to the changing needs in these areas.
The next call for Institutional Grants of the EJA Kosovo program is expected to be launched at the beginning of 2025.
